1. Learn a few basic Spanish Words; Hola, Por Favor, Bienvenido and Gracias goes a long way.
2. Please tip. 10% is common for most places and 15% for high end restaurants. 3. Do not drink the water. 4. Try to find a currency exchange away from the airport for cheaper rates. 5. Try not wearing your company logos outside of the trade show/conference. 6. Go/Walk in groups of two or more. There is safety in numbers. 7. Have the restaurant/hotel call you a taxi or Uber. 8. Make sure the taxi you get in, does not have a “paper” printed license plate. 9. Know your neighborhood, or “colonia,” you are in.
10. It will take two hours to go anywhere in Mexico City (Pyramids, Frida Kahlo’s Blue House, etc.) because of traffic. 11. For expensive restaurants, please make reservations ahead of time. 12. Be prepared for smog. If you are driving, check what days you are allowed to drive the car due to smog alerts. 13. Lock your luggage with TSA approved locks.

14. Download the message app WhatsApp. Mostly everyone in Mexico has it and people attending FFM should too.
